(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Had blood test results today, 0.05 and last time it was 0.04, so up a lil bit. .so they say testing every 3 months now as it's going up. Nurse says Don't worry, it's normal to fluctuate .lol Like you don't worry about this stuff
P.S. Can you not post on this thread unless it's about the thread subject ♥
Sly,
I would have to agree with the nurse, nothing to be concerned about at this time but still, caution is key. Coming from a background in the medical laboratory community, there have been great strides in testing accuracy over the years, but the extremely low levels you are being measured at do allow a bit of sway. At these levels the accuracy of the testing method is being put to the test. I am sure the nurse explained that at this point, it is more concerning to see a consistent rise of the result over time, At this point, a fluctuation of ,01 up or down isn't cause for alarm.
Get ur prostate exam and PSA test- simple.
We should all take heed, life is way too short even if we have no medical issues.
We don’t need to loose another fun member of the PV family. I’ve had fun interacting with you over the years.
Jahoo also has good points when interrupting results. All testing instruments have a +/- testing error along with propagation of error in the steps to take the sample & get the final test result. I’m a Engineer by degree, can tell you that multiple data points provide the best trend & appropriate action.
It’s also a wise decision to retest & monitor at a shorten intervals to confirm there are issues & this was a measurement error…fwiw.
