rupert681 ..... is there something that you have in mind to sort out the problem that there are fake ppl i'm sure the mods would look into any possibility of knowing who is who n what they are ........ even real friends can pretend to your face so i'm sure someone miles away can tell a good lie so good luck figuring that one out unfortunately it's the internet you can be what and who ever you want if that's the way you choose ( personally i'm too blonde to pretend to be anything other than a bitch )

I for one believe nate, his mom thinks theres no women good enough for him, so he is still a virgin.

Many years ago I frequented a few yahell chat rooms. In one there was a person claiming to be a women from Romania, and fairly wealthy, with all kinds of kinky habits. The photos of her were beautiful and she "fit the profile" of a fake, so everyone thought she was a guy.

Most people quit talking to her except to judge her and she never defended any of it, so people made assumptions.


One night she PMd me and asked if I had a cam. When I asked why, she said I was one of few people that never judged her and that she just wanted to prove she was a she. So I took her up on it, and she was who she said she was, well at least a female living in an apparently very large house. We both talked about being bi curious, and later got into some nasty thoughts type conversation, but stayed clothed and "nice" on cam.

And for me it was a great example of not knowing what we sometimes think we know. I've also met guys that came across as complete pigs that turned out to be nice guys. And people that came across nice that turned out to be complete pigs.


So really, I just take things for what they seem and accept that I might be wrong about any of them.



P.S. When Nico gives herself to Nate, I volunteer to let Nico's girlfriend "show me the ropes". :)

Al Gore did NOT invent the internet first of all. It's been around since at least the 80s.

This thread has been in the back of my mind mind the past couple weeks with these experiences: I spotted a contri from cox4u2 I liked with old photos from 70s/80s. That account's a little weird and vague, no profile pic, little else. One of the pictures was faded or overexposed so I did a simple edit to fix it, asked about getting it into the Allstar Galleries, no dice.

Then I get a profile visit from jbing25 (female icon) and when I go there I find not even an age ("-- years old") but it's a gold account that's been around since 2009. So I sent a message basically asking WTF is going on, heard nothing.

Then I get a friend request from cox4u2 so I confirmed and sent a message, again nothing. I'm thinking here's this woman who was gorgeous 30 - 40 years ago, now she's 58 probably with grandchildren, maybe she was a little shy about posting old nudes of herself to begin with.

Probably unrelated but today I had 2 profile visits by more strangers without profile pics. I added a new profile pic, maybe they were checking that out. One messaged me, wants to get messaged back, almost seems like something a virus might do (I forget which one).

I had noticed before that if I left a comment on a contri (in one case from Germany) that I often got a profile visit from a male near them, this happened a couple times but seems harmless. Either their boyfriend's checking me out or they are using a boyfriend's login (I think).

So I guess one approach might be to keep a list of these suspicious accounts somewhere that people can refer to if they have contact with one. A place to look if you have an unexplained contact to see if it's on the list. The list should be editable so people can add to it, make comments, report new interactions, etc. Maybe something like a blog, but the suspicious people will also have access to it.

Or maybe this is just to be expected and should be ignored. Spammers will probably eventually find ways to create accounts here, and then everything spirals downward and it becomes as bad as usenet is now.

Thing is, if somebody strange visits your profile and you visit theirs to find out who they are that may be just what they're looking for.

What if PV could purge some of these by sending emails to the contact addresses to see if it still exists then take all the ones that don't and put them on hold temporarily at least?. Paying members are probably above suspicion but if anyone (or a robot) can create a free account some of those may be undesirable.

The cox4u2 account is still active, they're online right now. I can't chat but that may be where they are, or just surfing pictures.
