Over the last year, the site has degraded in a number of ways. The first that comes to mind is creating an additional paid site that took users away from the chat room. The chat room really suffered and has not recovered. It is a chat, but not much else.
I hate the look of the new site. It looks like a cheap porn site.
Specifically:
I dislike the submission category changes. I love me the MILFs.
I dislike the ratings change. There is really no need for a scale change. I appreciated a full range of ratings.
The location of the current rating on the page makes it essentially useless. I have always used a criteria to decide which submissions are worth my time. At the end of the submission it is of no value to me.
I simply hate the page layout of the submissions. I don't know exactly what it is. Maybe the images are smaller than they were.
My subscription expires this week and I will not renew. There are now much better free sites and this one is no longer worth the money. I'll check back from time to time to see if you come to your senses.
The long and short of it is that the staff generally love it and the users generally hate it. You decide.
Oh, I don't think anyone ever addressed my comments regarding the random answers to the new questions in the profile. Too many fires to put out I guess.
@MrKatt - Firstly I'm not sure which paid site you are referring to that is supposed to have made the chat suffer. Being that as it is, I'm not sure why we'd be expected not to have other sites.
Typically, and all too often for psychological reasons, porn sites prefer to use dark colours. It intimates to the user something that is forbidden. That is the route we took 14+ years ago when we were a "voyeur" site. It is now illegal to show real voyeur content and we've had to adapt.
Having said that, we've decided that we don't have to buy into the psychology of colour any more, that what we do is an expression of sexual freedom and that it is something to be enjoyed. While at the core of everything we show, there is indeed porn, we're a lot more than that. We're a community and have a very social aspect to the site.
So when going about re-designing PV, we did NOT look at any porn sites, we looked at many mainstream sites to draw our inspirations. So it is surprising that you think the current PV looks like a cheap porn site. Ultimately what one thinks about a design is quite subjective and we appreciate that you see it very differently to how we do.
We've been over the change to the MILF section but let me reiterate. We still post milf and it is quite easily accessed using the "milf" search tag.
The ratings change isn't really a change at all. If we'd given you 20 stars instead of 10 would we still be talking about it? As for the placement of said stars; before you were required to click INTO the contribution to see them and then you'd use your criteria to decide if they were worth your time. NOW you see them even before you enter the contribution by looking at the rating just under the thumbnails. Correct me if I am wrong but is this not easier based on the way you use the ratings?
We'll be revisiting the layout of the actual submissions page but I'd like to point out that the images are actually larger and NOT smaller than they use to be.
Fair enough that you won't renew. It is an unfortunate fact that we can't please 100% of people no matter how hard we try. When you do stop back in, you'll still find us just as welcoming, just as friendly and just as devoid of senses from the heady heat of naked bodies that we've all come to love at PV.
The staff love it? How would you know this? I am the ONLY member of staff actually posting on the forums. You mean our volunteer reviewers and chat moderators? You'll find that a few of them have also complained that they don't like it. Two in this very thread.
If you sent your comment via our support channel it would have been answered. Most support tickets are responded to in under 3 hours. If you left them on the forums, I may have missed it (which is why we have a support channel). If you'd like to fire off an email to me with this query/comment, I'll be more than happy to look into it for you.
@MrKatt - I've gone over the the pages again, keeping in mind how you choose to view submissions based on vote ratings and I now see what you mean. If one uses the next/previous links to navigate, you don't see the vote score unless you scroll down. I'll get this fixed. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

K what i came to say is ...... Im sorta getting used to the new lay out of things ...... ( i am slow remember ) i think its pretty cool ..... I know a lot of work goes into trying to please everyone but we all know that aint ever going to happen as everyone likes different things. Keep up the good work min and the rest of the team .....

lil isnt a word i would use in a chat ,, well unless we are talkin brains n yes i mean the brains men have ( 2 of ) ........... gawd ok back to the job at hand ..... nopoly i know you like em slow hun ,,,,, as we get older we all start to slow some ...

@MrKatt - Whenever you do decide to pop in, you'll be happy to note that we're now showing the ratings on the contribution pages to assist in the way you like to browse the site.

Not sure many have noticed but we've also add a new feature for Gold members that can be seen on the filters panel in each category. Namely, "By Date" - this functions much like the archives use to so you are able to pull up all contributions in June 2005 for example.
Have not found one thing I like about the new format. Perhaps it's time to move on to a different site.
